Relaxation, meditation, well-being Give it a try!
Disconnect, physically recover, free your mind, improve your sleep, take time to meditate.
Sensory isolation through flotation is a relaxation technique that involves resting as many senses as possible. .The five well-known senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. But also other senses that we may not think about but are very important, such as temperature perception and balance. To achieve rest for all these senses, you are immersed in a flotation Pod, a kind of strange capsule about the size of a small car, completely isolated from the outside and filled with Epsom salt-saturated water. No light, no external noise disturbs you. The high salinity of the water (five times that of the Dead Sea) puts the body in a floating state, like weightlessness! The body, freed from all constraints, relaxes. Muscles and joints relax as if you were floating in space. The brain, freed from analyzing all the information it usually receives, can let go, daydream, and meditate. Would you like to try flotation?

We Tried Sensory Isolation Floating
Muscular and joint tensions, which accumulate daily, seem to have completely disappeared. You come out of this break having lost all sense of time. Legs feel light, and the mind is refreshed. The guarantee of a good night's sleep.

How I Finally Managed to Meditate While Floating
I rarely felt such a sense of comfort, like a sort of return to the maternal womb. The feeling of being protected from everything, in absolute calm. The impression of living, but without enduring life.

In the flotation bubble, the body is cut off from all external stimuli: guaranteed relaxation! It's both strange (because all our senses are at rest, it's unusual) and extremely pleasant. I recommend it to everyone.

What is a sensory isolation tank?
A Pod, or sensory isolation tank, is a device whose first examples were invented in 1954 by Dr. John Lilly, a California neuroscientist, for his research on consciousness. The theoretical principle is simple: to rest as many senses as possible to free the body and the brain from their usual tasks.
First, the five well-known senses: Sight, Hearing, Touch, Taste, and Smell, but also others that we think about less but are nonetheless very important, such as the sense of balance or temperature perception (thermoception). In practice, the sensory isolation tank completely isolates you from the outside thanks to its double soundproof shell made of composite materials.
This shell also provides very good soundproofing and thermal uniformity. The interior volume of the tank is spacious (larger than a car's interior). The water and air temperature is regulated by a special probe accurate to the 1/10th of a degree Celsius. The interior air is constantly refreshed by an ingenious ventilation system that also ensures there is no draft or cold sensation during the session.
But the main characteristic of a sensory isolation tank is that it is filled with highly salted water (5 times saltier than the Dead Sea), which puts the body in a state of positive buoyancy. In practical terms, it takes 550 kg of salt for a little over 900 liters of water per flotation tank!
Everyone floats! A lot!
The sense of balance is thus cut off from all its references. This extremely salty water requires specific maintenance installations: an ultra-powerful pump system (each Pod is completely filtered four times between each session), micron-level filtration, UV-C lamp to kill all pathogens (viruses, bacteria...), permanent disinfection with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2, a powerful natural biocide). In addition to the high salinity of the water, which is naturally inadequate for the survival of most microorganisms. Hygiene is impeccable!
